Mick Vranich was born in 1946 in Wyandotte, MI, an industrial town 10 miles "downriver" from Detroit. He has been writing poems and playing guitar for thirty-five years. Vranich as several books of poetry; Salad Surreal: Discernible by Distortion, Salad Press, Radnik Pisar, 2 x 4 Press, Boxer's Break, Past Tents Press and Saw Horse Doorjamb Press.

Music Recordings include; Cloak of Skin, Idols of Fear, The Black Box and Remote Dwellings. Mick lives in Detroit with his wife, painter, Sherry Hendrick and makes his living as a carpenter.
