Gordon Torncello was born in the city of Los Angeles, 1974. Talking about his poetry he says, "The crunching of the words is often motivated by sight, by the space of the page-- I consider that part to be spatial, along with the entire poem from one corner of the page to the next. The majority of the words that have been "abused" or "morphed" or "destroyed" or "created" are little words, the kind that the brain fills in anyway. The punctuation serves a similar purpose, visually; sometimes the poor syntax and grammar can be attributed to a rhythm. Sometimes I am attempting to create stops and breaks, trips and falls; sometimes the words are almost puzzles that become clear by context; sometimes it helps to create the sound of a character." This is the third publication of his poetry. Thanks Detroit!
